August 11,2018 that's the day where this event started. I am so grateful for the beautiful Saturday morning that make the way drive to Americana at Brand in Glendale,Ca feel smoother.
When the first time I arrived in the location, I saw some of the girls already stand in the line to get their badge. After I get my badge, my notebook, the schedule catalog, and some of the samples, I went straight to the Influencer Track room where the event coordinator already serve the breakfast for us.
While I finishing the breakfast, I talked to some of the other bloggers and vloggers. There is also some people who come to learn about digital marketing. The first keynote, we have actress Emeraude Toubia and the moderator is the founder of Simply stylist itself, Sarah Boyd. Even thou for the introduction, but the conversation between Sarah and Emeraude give so much lesson for me especially for the self esteem and how to fight in the entrepreneurship field.
We also have another panelist like; Sazan Hendrix, Alisha Marie, and Ale La Chula who talked about how to increasing the visibility on the Social Media. Most of panelist agree that YouTube and Instagram are the best social media for them to market their brand. For now I am using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+ but maybe in the future I will have the courage to use YouTube.
On the breakout time, we have 2 panelists, who talked about The Art of negotiator. Kristine Thompson, the influencer from Trendycurvy told us to NOT underestimate ourselves. And Sarah Parker, the VP at United Entertainment Group told us the way to reach to brand. Both of them state that right now the brand barely see how many followers that you have but they will see if you are the good fit for their brand or not.
After lunch break, the topic is to SQUAD UP: knowing when to grow and scale the business. This topic is really interesting for me because as a blogger, I also want to grow my business. The panelist in this topic include; Lilit Caradanian, the founder of Elcie Cosmetic, Lauren Bushnell who also the founder of Dear Rose and Bellevue the label (she is a bachelor from ABC's reality show The Bachelor), Marcel Floruss, and Beca Alexander who is the founder of socialyte. From all the panelists, I really like Beca because she is so real. She state that to be blogger and want to run the business is not easy but once you get it, it will be a true winning.
For the breakout after lunch, we have Claire Collins who talk about Monetizing, turning the blogging hobby into career. This one quiet interesting but kinda hard to do it. Why? Because by blogging itself, we hardly to make any money. But Claire also told us some other way the blogger can make money.
At 3pm is the time for me to get the bag full of goodies. So I went out and missed some of the topic from the next panelists (at least I get the goodies lol)
The next topic is about Styling in The Digital Age. The panelists are more relax and funnier compare to the past topics. Even thou I don't really interest to the topic but I like the way they talk and I think I can get some of the lessons from them also. The panelist including ; Candice Lambert (she is Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, and Bon Jovi's stylist), Law Roach (His clients are Celine Dion, Zendaya, Anne Hathway), Maeve Reily (the stylist for Tinashe, Halsey, and Hailey Baldwin), and Etienne Ortega (who is the make up artist for Kim, Courtney, and Khloe Kardashian). They all teach me to keep humble, don't treat the other stylist/blogger as your enemy but try to collaborate. They also state that everybody always start from the beginning, so don't be lazy to learn when you in the training or internship, when the time is right, your moment will be there waiting.
The last but not least is the topic of create your voice and make an Impact. I didn't even stay until finish because my migraine was hurting so much. But I want to let you know that for me, the panelists on this topic are heroes. Lo Bosworth (the founder of love wellness where empowering women), Lauren Elizabeth, Rachel Levin, Stephanie Shepherd. All of them have different campaign from bullying to human trafficking. I feel so bad that I didn't stay because I rally want to share and also learn for myself how to make my VOICE heard and make the impact. But I let my migraine win for this time.
So I hope all of you get something from this blog. Thank you for read my blog.
